I successfully got a file uploaded into a department, assigned to a category, all details look great. Once I click on "View" or go in and try and download or open I get the following error, "File does not exist or there is a problem with the file".

I've checked my dataDir for the 1.dat file, renamed it to 1.pdf and tried to open it. It opened just fine. Permissions seem fine on the file and directory.

I checked the weblog and didn't see any php errors. I'll attach a snippet from it in case I'm missing something:

This is the url that it's trying to use when opening the file. Does this look correct?
Yes, mine looks something like this:

view_file.php?submit=view&id=1&mimetype=text%2Fplain
You should check the web server error log, not the access log.
Can't find any errors in the php-errors.log. Looks good there. I also couldn't find anything specific in the Event Viewer for the web server as it relates to this issue. Any particular log file that you want me to check?
I have exactly the same issue. Any advice?

Tried a couple of re-install, changing permission... all did not help.

Thanks in advance.
Please contact me through the contact-us form at opendocman.com so I can schedule a time to troubleshoot your issue with you. I would like to know if this is a bug, or a configuration issue.

After troubleshooting on russ's machine, the dataDir is writeable, but the files saved inside it are not readable by the web server. I am going to be installing IIS on my windows VM and doing some testing to see if I can duplicate it.

Steve
Steve,

I solved my issue... the problem is the trailing slash at the end of dataDir in the config.php. Once I add that in, everything else is smooth.

Thanks for a great apps.

Cheers
KW
Hrmm, the installer is supposed to add the slash if you are missing it.

You are using 1.2.6 right?
