No sir, I'm using 1.2.5 for production.

You are using 1.2.6 right?
No sir. I'm using the stable version, 1.2.5.7

1.2.5.7 is a little more picky about things and has a few bugs that are not going to be fixed. You should try 1.2.6, at least temporarily. If you are already using 1.2.5.7 in a live situation you could copy the database and the dataDir and then "upgrade" to 1.2.6 through the 1.2.6 installer. Test it out on your DB copy and make sure everything is ok before upgrading your live version.

As always, make copies of your folders, and backups of your database before upgrading.
I just installed version 1.2.7.2 and had a similar problem insofar as I got the same error message. Adding the trailing slash allowed me to browse files. In my case uploaded file didn't seem to have an extension associated with it when the trailing / was missing. I downloaded the file and manually opened it up. Adding a / seemed to correct this.

Just posting in case it helps anybody else.
