Metadata and document types

So the interface was straightforward enough in my demo. However, when I went to add new metadata fields, it indicated that there was a limit of 5 fields... Is this a real system limitation, or just for the demo? Also, are there ways of grouping the metadata so that certain fields are only available through a specific category?

I'm also wondering if OpenDocMan has a soap or wdsl interface for integrating with other applications.
