I have installed Opendocman version 1p2rc3
on Centos 4.2 ( Redhat entreprise )
Everything went well , I can start the system
The problem is when i add users with admin privileges , they can see only 3 options ( in the admin field ) Users, Departements, Categories .
The File Operation fields is missing !
What is going wrong ?

Make sure the root_username config setting is pointing to your admin username.

Yes it is pointing to the right admin .
But others admins can't see the file operation table ....

ODM was designed around a "root" user who can do anything. There is only one root user account.

That's strange that others admins can't delete files .....

This may be the reason behind my problem with admins who could not delete files that they didn't own.
Long term, we should be thinking about having multiple "root" users. First, for an organization it means that the administrative duties can be shared, and one person does not become a bottleneck. Second, from an audit standpoint it may improve tracking of administrative actions.

Having multiple root users defeats the purpose of having a root user, which by definition, is one user. Maybe the permissions shouls be re-worked to add access certain tools to the admins?
The root user is a single user with access to everything.

Re-thinking this... We may want to consider the difference between a "global admin" and a "department admin". Which may in turn force the issue about users being members of multiple departments.
