Filtering does not work

Using the search boxes for area/department shows cero record found but there are many files uploaded.

Anyone with a suggestion to fix this?

When I try to filter, I receive this error message only with some users (not all), any suggestions?.
The error users are actives, of course.

How to insert CheckBoxes in opendocman

Hi guys,

i was looking into a way to insert checkboxes in opendocman , so far i was able to accomplish this but the problem is when you check more than 1 checkbox opendocman only shows last checkbox value.

i cannot figure out how to retrieve all checked checkboxes value.

Is it possible to hide all the other area/department's to an user that was assigned to specific one in order that he/she does not see other areas?

In Read permission level user is able to see and download the file. Can we restrict download option and provide only able to open the document?

Please help me to sort out this issue, I am trying to install opendocman on ubuntu 16.04, getting this error

Is it possible for Admin to post an mp3 to a department and have people in the department (group) play the audio file without downloading it?

I’m trying to install the latest version of opendocman

Have the files installed on JustHost server in /public html_folder/opendocman/
Data file is in root folder: mcemedia.org/
Have created the needed databases

CPanel 70.0 (build 66)
Apache 2.4.38
PHP 7.0.33
MySQL 5.6.41-84.1
Perl 5.26.0

When beginning the install by entering: mcemedia.org/opendocman, I get a screen with this info:

Looks like this is a new installation because we did not find a config.php file or we cannot locate the database. We need to create a config.php file now:
Create a Configuration File

Clicking on “create a configuration file” brings me to a page with this info:

Welcome to OpenDocMan. Before getting started, we need some information on the database. You will need to know the following items before proceeding.

Database name
Database username
Database password
Database host
Table prefix (if you want to run more than one OpenDocMan in a single database)

You will also need to create a directory (your "dataDir") where you plan to store your uploaded files on the server. This directory must be writable by the web server but preferably NOT inside your public html folder. The main reason for locating the folder outside or your web document root is so that people won't be able to guess at a URL to directly access your files, bypassing the access restrictions that OpenDocMan puts in place.
You can update your web server configuration file to prevent visitors from browsing your files directly.

Mysql authentication failure on install

I’m having problems with mysql during installation in two different environments.
I have two environments with the same problem:
a) “native” on MacOS. PHP 7+, Apache, Mysql 8.0.14, etc., and
b) MAMP PRO install.

The failure message is: Error!: SQLSTATE[HY000] [2054] The server requested authentication method unknown to the client

This seems to be the section of code where it is failing.

Modifing documents and how to read it without download

Hello there!
I represent a company that is currently trying the free version of this soft and my team has 2 questions:
1. If I modify a document which 200 people have access to, will they be able to see the updates that I've made? Or they are going to see only the original version and in that way I will be forced to select all of them all over again in order to see my modified document ?
2. Is there any way to read to document without downloading it? At the moment, we cannot read it online.

Version Control and Sprint number

Hi Community,

I am new to this forum and trying to evaluate OpenDocMan and see if it is a good fit for my organization. By any chance, do you know if we can setup the version control to be in sync with the sprint number (Agile). For instance, let say we are in Sprint 25 of development and I want to have the version of my design document to be in sync with the Sprint number which is in this case 25. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Add file fails

After the install script failed, I manually got everything going. I can add users, depts, etc... but no file will upload. The add page upon hitting the submit button gives me:

This page isn’t working
is currently unable to handle this request.

Help!

The following error message is occuring when starting OpenDocMan in a subdirectory of a Linux instance. Has anyone encountered this in the past? I commented the code out in 3 places (lines 156, 178 and 201) and the admin function starts OK but cannot find the data directory. I wonder if it is related.
