Hi All!
I may not understand the full intent of DM or I my needs may not be suited to a true DM so I'm not sure what I'm asking for is something I'm going to find. Here's what I need:
I have 1000's of police, fire, public health, traffic departments etc. from all across the US who want to upload documents for public consumption. These documents are how-to's like how to change a smoke detector battery or how to safely boil water for a water boil alert after a water main break.
From the Admin side what I need is to:
A) automatically create an account for the author
B) automatically log the author in so they don't have dual/multiple logins
From the User side what I need is a web page that:
A) Has index by topic category
B) Lists of documents within that category
C) Keyword searches
Looking at the demo, I didn't get the impression that OpenDoc could really handle this, especially the user side, as that seemed more like authoring which isn't what I'd want regular users to see. Am I right in this? Will OpenDocMan do the things I need?
Thanks,
Pete
