Online editing? - Stephen - 01-13-2010 jjuhala 2004-12-06 22:42:24 PST Hi Is it somehow possible to edit .txt file inside the system without download-edit-upload -procedure? We are creating an ip-listing system, and that feature would be handy. logart 2004-12-07 07:46:41 PST Hi, There are some commercial solutions out there that allow for inline editing of documents. The main reason I went with the current method is to allow for any type of document format to be used. With the inline editing, you have to convert the file into a certain format when it is added to the repository and that really limits the file formats the users can upload. It also creates loads of work on the convesion engine, as file formats change, etc.. steve jjuhala 2004-12-07 22:51:36 PST OK. Then we just have to live with that restriction. Thanks anyway! jdingman 2005-07-31 16:45:41 PDT Hey Stephen. Now that the languages have progressed much further, is there anyway you could include WYSIWYG in it? I'm looking to use this for a project and that would be come in really useful. I think this project has a great future, just needs some extra time devoted to it and it could work a lot better. Thanks for your work so far, it looks great! |
