Hello,

all of a sudden when a user adds a document they can't view it. It shows up but no view icon. when you click on it it says :
"Error: OpenDocMan is unable to find the requested file. Please email Document Repository for further assistance."
When I login as admin the file is there and you can view the file. The user has scanned many other ones in and no problem.
I am using opendocman 1.25 on RHEL 5.
Thanks in advance.

I would start by checking the access flags for the document. Looking at the source code, the View icon is only displayed if the user has at least READ_RIGHT. I can't seem to replicate this, so purhaps something the database has gotten out of sync?

So what does View authority do? Does that simply mean that the user can see the file?

"View" allows one to see that the file exists; but you can't "Read" the contents of the file.

I personally don't use this option, but I guess there might be instances where it might be useful.
