view missing from added file - Stephen - 01-13-2010 bradleydsmith 2007-05-16 07:43:55 PDT Hello, all of a sudden when a user adds a document they can't view it. It shows up but no view icon. when you click on it it says : "Error: OpenDocMan is unable to find the requested file. Please email Document Repository for further assistance." When I login as admin the file is there and you can view the file. The user has scanned many other ones in and no problem. I am using opendocman 1.25 on RHEL 5. Thanks in advance. jonathanwminer 2007-05-16 12:12:50 PDT I would start by checking the access flags for the document. Looking at the source code, the View icon is only displayed if the user has at least READ_RIGHT. I can't seem to replicate this, so purhaps something the database has gotten out of sync? opplevelse 2007-07-28 06:24:03 PDT So what does View authority do? Does that simply mean that the user can see the file? jonathanwminer 2007-07-30 04:10:33 PDT "View" allows one to see that the file exists; but you can't "Read" the contents of the file. I personally don't use this option, but I guess there might be instances where it might be useful. |
