Integrating OpenDocMan into existing project - Stephen - 01-13-2010 othyro 2007-05-15 05:10:33 PDT Greetings, I was recommended this package for integration into one of my current projects. Basically, there's a fairly complex transactional database and we'd like to associate some documents with records in that database. So, OpenDocMan would be like a module of this site. Is it also possible for OpenDocMan to authenticate against an already existing user info table instead of whatever it uses by default? We really like the features of this package and ease of use; however, we'd like to make sure what we want to do is possible before diving into the installation. Thanks! ![]() logart 2007-05-15 07:40:15 PDT It is possible yes, but not out of the box. You would have to modify the login logic a bit. jonathanwminer 2007-05-15 07:51:59 PDT One thing I would like to see implemented, or since this is an open-source project, implement myself, would be to remove all the user authenication code from ODM, and rely on the web server for username/password validation. ODM would retain the current role-based access controls. I'll go put this in under "Feature Request" as well... othyro 2007-05-19 17:56:40 PDT Has anyone used OpenDocMan with Apache 2.2, MySQL 5.0, and PHP 5.x? dalfonso 2007-05-20 01:08:10 PDT Hi, I am using that configuration on a windows 2003 and alla is working fine.
