Hi all,

I'm very new to php and am by no means experienced in programming. I am a technical writer and hope that OpenDocMan will solve some problems we have in my company for the workflow of docs.

I've installed all the necessary components, php seems to be working ok when i run tests, however when i try to start a new install of OpenDocMan (and it gives me the standard "are you sure" warning), i get an internal page error with IE, or a list of errors on the index.php page with Firefox.

If i open the error log file, i get:
PHP Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING, expecting ')' in C:\\Program Files\\Apache Software Foundation\\Apache2.2\\htdocs\\opendocman-1.2.5.6\\config.php on line 93, referer: <!-- m --><a class="postlink" href="http://localhost/opendocman-1.2.5.6/install/index.php">http://localhost/opendocman-1.2.5.6/install/index.php</a><!-- m -->

My congig.php file reads as follows (i'm sure i made a fundamental mistake somewhere, as i said i'm new to this) Many thanks in advance.

I have solved the previous by removing the "\" from the dataDir line, however, i now get the following error log entry

"Call to undefined function mysql_connect()" ..... referring to line 168 of the config.php file

Any ideas on this one would be greatly received.

Thanks in advance.
I've solved this myself also now and i can run the program.

Seem to have some issues with retrieving files, "file not found" errors, and cant seem to assign new users through Opendocman, but it's running.

Cheers anyway.
These are typically caused by a mistake in the DataDir directory. at least they are on Linux/Unix installs. is your data directory defined in config.php or config_local.php?

What error are you getting when you try to create users?
