I am testing this App. and it looks good. However, I have about 400,000 files at hand that I need to place in this system. What should I do this?

All documents upload to the web server will be renamed into 1.dat 2.dat 3.dat ....etc.
Is it possible to keep the original file names after uploaded to the web server?
It will be alot easier for us to maintain those files manually.
