File does not exist errors...

Okay, I'm definitely able to replicate something on my install (downloaded the 1.2.5.7 svn perhaps 4 hours ago) that I cannot replicate on the demo server.

I'm running I.E. 8 Just to be safe.


Steps I take:

1. Add New Document
2. Select the file.
3. Fill in all the fields.
4. Click on Add Document

It then goes to be authorized.

5. Go to the document from the authorized list.
6. Click on View.
7. Get "File does not exist" error.
8. Authorize it
9. Go to the file
10. Now I can view it.

Add to this, I try to do the same with a jpg file, and even after I've authorized it, I get the "file does not exist" when trying to view or download it.

I'm seeing some other "weird" things as well. Its very strange. I'll try to document them.

Check you web server log and see if there are any messages in there.

I just did a check. there's nothing in error.log, and here's the entry from access.log:

I was able to duplicate it in I.E.

If I create a new document, extension ODT, file size 4.7 MB (I've got the config to allow up to 8 MB), I can upload it, authorize it, but the minute I go to view it, it gives me a file not found.

If I create a new document, extension txt, file size 1K or less, I can upload it, authorize it, and view and download it.

If I use a ppt file (size 3 MB) it gives the file not found error as well.

I took a look at my docs directory, and there's a .dat file there that has the right timestamp.

Check your upload_max_size, post_max_size in php.ini.

Another thing you might want to do is to turn off SecureURL in opendocman config.php, and turn up your php error reporting level to show all errors to see if there is anything else that shows up. The fact that you cannot replicate the issue with the demo server seems to point to a web server configuration issue on your end.

I was able to fix this problem by deinstalling opendocman, removing the database, and building everything from the ground up. No server configuration change.
