Package Compatability ? - Stephen - 01-13-2010 reback 2004-10-31 08:18:21 PST What versions of the following packages are known to work with Opendocman, and for that matter what versions are know to have problems? I Have: Apache 2.0.52 PHP 4.3.9 MySQL 4.0.21 I am having general sql errors and none of the basic features seem to work as the example states. I have visited the demo version online and would like to use the product. I am not married to my versions at this time because I am building a new system up to run this and several other packages. Regards, Richard Back logart 2004-10-31 08:51:25 PST If I had to guess, I would say it is the mysql version. The one I use is 3.23. Try installing another instance of mysql in the 3.x version range and see if it works. steve reback 2004-11-01 03:21:45 PST I thought that might be the problem. I do know there are some syntax changes between 3.X and 4.X. Do yo have plans to upgrade MySQL and the Opendocman to support MySQL 4.X anytime in the near future. logart 2004-11-01 08:47:23 PST The 1.3 release is scheduled to have a database abstraction layer (ADODB). This will probably take care of the issue. steve |
