DataDir and Subdomain - masslbp - 04-02-2010

Problem:

The all classic: "There is a problem with your dataDir. Check to make sure it exists and is writeable"

Info:

1) I am running ODM through subdomain, massdoc.XXXXX.com

2) The directory name for ODM is /MASSdoc

3) The DataDir is called "doc_folder" and is held under the /MASSdoc folder

4) Do I point the DataDir to /massdoc.XXXXX.com/doc_folder/ or something else?

I've tried several different methods and have checked the permissions. Cannot figure this out.

Typically you would set your dataDir folder to somewhere outside of the ODM installation folder, in fact, outside of your web server root. That way people cannot access the files directly through their browser.

Make sure your permissions are correct. Your web server user needs permissions to your dataDir.
